     Hi Jeff,

One of the best tools that I have found to preprocess data and
perform
statistical analysis is SAS. They can be found on the web at:
     http://www.sas.com/

     Good Luck,

Hi datamine list ppl,

My name is Jeff Yuan. I work for the Boston company Neurotec Intl.
Corp.,
which does data mining, forecasting, intelligent systems, and WEB
stuff.

May I ask what tools you use for data preprocessing and statistical
analysis?
I am looking for something that can let me message data, perform
various
statistical operations, and visualize the results (prior to modeling).
The tool
should be able to directly operate on relational database
tables/fields
without having to importing/exporting to native formats, and able to
operate on
very large data sets. If you know of such an animal or are currently
using one
(non-proprietary), please tell me your opinion. You can email me at
jy@neurotec.com. Thanks in advance.

Jeff
