Re: DM: New Subscribers

I heard about the list-serv from Scott Cunningham, a
subscriber. I
posted a message inquiring about the use of datamining in
bibliometric
research and received several very helpful responses.
Since then I have
been looking for DM software that can be used on a win95
platform and
have met with some, though limited, success. I am also
involved in a
project that is in the planning stage within the state of
Oklahoma.
This project involves the creation of a large data warehouse
by combining client and related data bases from a number of
social/human
service agencies in the state. This would appear to be an
excellent
opportunity to apply DM technology to something other than
 business/marketing data.
