DM: New rule induction system

Hi,

New original rule induction system is now available for evaluation.
It works under Windows'95 and requires DAO 3.5 (available in
MS Office 97). Although it is a prototype version it allows to
run the algorithm and view the result. You can download this system
from my home page:

  http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/7220/

(section Download Software). Some instructions can be found in
ReadMe.doc file.

The algorithm is based on the notion of prime disjunction and
transformation from DNF to CNF. The problem has been formulated
and solved for fuzzy case but the current version is crisp. Some
information can be found in my recent paper "Application of
Multi-dimensional Fuzzy Analysis to Decision Making" which can
be found on my home page (HTML and PS). More general information
is also available in other online papers.

One feature of the approach is that it proceeds from negative
iformation in the database, i.e., it takes into account what
has not happened, what records are absent (negative associations),
while conventional methods (e.g., apriori) take into account
positive information, i.e., what happened, what is present in the
database. This reflects the duality between (fuzzy) CNF and DNF.

Thanks.

Regards,

Alexandr
