DM: KDD-99 industrial track

The Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining conference this year (KDD-99)
will have a new Industrial Track, which is geared to audience from
industry interested in the more practical side of the knowledge
discovery process.


The industrial track is co-chaired by Jim Gray and Ronny Kohavi. More

We invite submissions of abstracts describing the innovative
aspects of a product or a data mining solution. The abstract should be
no more than 5 pages long and should allow the program committee to
evaluate the technical contribution. If accepted, the presenter will
give a presentation and also contribute an article of at most 5 pages
to the proceedings.


The conference will be in San Diego, CA, during August 15-18, 1999.
The submission deadline is March 5 (submit through the above web page).
