Many developers of data mining tools offer working demo or evaluation 
copies
in their web sites. You can download these tools and run them on some 
real
business data. The dissertation will be concentrated on comparing the
results of these tools.

You can compare tools of the main data mining techniques for issuing
predictions, which are: Neural Nets, Decision Trees, Genetic 
Algorithms and
Association Rules.
